I have dabbled with what I now know as with my horses on and
off for years. I use to rasp their feet to keep them looking tidy
when I could not afford to get the farrier to shoe them.

After learning about barefoot trimming and going to a clinic/workshop
held by Paul Chapman I now look after my horses feet with complete
confidence that I am doing the right thing for them.

Even though it is still early days and we have a long way to go,
Bracken who had underslung heels and long toes (who I thought was
plain lazy) is cantering round the paddock like a young colt, head held
high, glossy coat and sparkling eyes.

My husbands steed is like a complete new horse. He has put on
weight, has a beautiful shine to his coat (yes, he seems to have a richer
colour now) and trots everywhere. It is like he has just realised he can
do so without pain.

The others are just as happy as these 2. It is comforting to know how
to trim their feet and give them such a new lease of life and for this I
give tribute to Paul Chapman. You have opened my eyes to a new
method of looking after my horses and it is such a great feeling
knowing that they get such comfort from what I have learnt.

Once again - many thanks
